London Recreational Racing announces Frost Fest

Frost Fest 2013 is said to be the biggest and best race to date, with a huge payout and prizes or all competitors.

Milgrove Ontario – September 28 2013 – On October 26th (rain date: October 27th) Mini Stocks, Thunder Cars and Pure Stocks from all over Ontario will be making the trip to Flamboro Speedway to compete in the annual Frost Fest race sponsored for the past 3 years by London Recreational Racing. The total purse for this event is $15, 100 with a sponsor list of seventeen plus donating prizes for this event.

Last year Shawn Chenoweth and Dave Bailey picked up the feature wins. There will be time trials for the Mini Stocks and Thunder Cars to determine qualifying positions. Top 10 qualifiers in each class will draw for position in a 10 lap dash and how this dash finishes will determine the line up for the first 30 lap feature. The remaining cars will do a 10 lap heat to determine the rest of the starting order. After the 1st 30 lap feature, 2 dice will be rolled (18 or less cars) or 3 dice (24 cars) to determine the inversion. The winner of both Mini Stock and Thunder Car will be determined based off your finish in both 30 lap features (in case of a tie the time trial position will be the tie breaker). Pure Stocks will be having a 10 lap heat and a 30 lap feature. There will be a party in the pits following racing where the awards and prizes will be disturbed.

A special guest from Inside Track Spencer Lewis will be tandem announcing with Flamboro Speedway’s very own Jody Buschlen. The winner of the Mini Stock and the Thunder Car feature will receive a very special custom for this event igloo soap stone carving that is being made in Rankin Inlet Nunavut. The competitor that travels the furthest will receive a $300 bonus. On top of all the prize money being given away for this event, there will be trophies for 1st-5th in Mini Stocks and Thunder Cars, prizes for all finishers, plus a $200 draw for positions (Mini Stock 10-30) and (Thunder Car 10-24).  Special thanks to John and Frank Casale, Race Time Radio, Spencer Lewis of Inside track, and Randy and Larissa Spencer of Ontario Oval.
